what we can share

Attended lecture "The origin of art" given by photographer/artist Hiroshi Sugimoto at Rikkyo Univ in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. He showed slides of seascapes and said, there might be so much difference between what the ancient human relatives saw and what we see now. However, at least, we can share almost the same seascapes in common.

He is famous for having detailed knowledge about ancientry.
One of Mr.Sugimoto's "Dioramas" series, "Earliest human relatives".

His recent interest is to apply the electric current to films. The lightning was showed up mysteriously in the dark as if it had some life in it. The works are now available at IZU Photo museum.
